Max Leverage by Coin and Exchange
The highest leverage each exchange allows on a small position (its first risk tier), for the top perpetual futures by open interest. Larger positions get less leverage and a higher maintenance margin rate: open a coin for its full tier table on every exchange. Binance is not shown because its leverage brackets are only available with an API key.

How to read it. Each cell is the maximum leverage the exchange allows on the coin's USDT perpetual (Hyperliquid: USD) for a position inside its first risk tier; hover a cell for the tier's size limit. A dash means the exchange doesn't list the coin, and "…" that its table hasn't been read yet (tables refresh every 6 hours). Binance is left out because its leverage brackets need an API key. Turn a maintenance margin rate into a liquidation price with the liquidation price calculator. Not financial advice.
Max leverage FAQ
What is the maximum leverage on Bybit, Bitget, Gate and Hyperliquid?
It depends on the coin and on the size of your position. BTC and ETH get the most (100x to 200x on the centralised exchanges, 40x and 25x on Hyperliquid); smaller coins often stop at 20x to 75x. The table shows each exchange's first tier, the leverage for a small position.
Why does max leverage fall as the position grows?
Exchanges cap risk with tiers (risk limits): above each position-size band the maximum leverage drops and the maintenance margin rate rises, so a large position needs more margin and is liquidated further from the market price than a small one at the same leverage.
What is the maintenance margin rate?
The share of the position value you must keep as margin. If your margin falls below it the exchange liquidates the position. The liquidation price calculator uses it.
Why is Binance missing?
Binance publishes its leverage brackets only to API-key holders, so they can't be read from its public API. Check them in Binance's own futures interface.
