How the monitor works
For each saved trade, the monitor shows unrealised PnL and return on initial isolated margin (ROE), an estimated liquidation price, distance to that price and current daily funding paid or received.
Long distance = (current price − liquidation price) ÷ current price × 100. Short distance = (liquidation price − current price) ÷ current price × 100. A negative distance means the price has crossed the estimate; this tool does not close or manage trades.
PnL uses the price move times quantity, less the optional fee on entry and a hypothetical close now. ROE divides it by entry notional ÷ leverage. Funding is shown separately and is not deducted from PnL.
Prices are the watch strip's reference perpetual price, not your venue's mark price. Their snapshot age appears on each position. Funding is the coin-wide eight-hour average, projected over 24 hours at current notional and an unchanged rate. Missing funding is shown as unavailable.
Estimate: These are estimates. Exchanges use tiered maintenance margin (bigger positions need more), liquidate on the mark price rather than the last trade, and handle fees and cross margin their own way. Check your exchange's position screen before you trade.
Positions monitor FAQ
Where are my positions saved?
Up to ten positions are saved only in this browser's local storage, without an account. Clearing site data removes them. With storage blocked, the tool works for this visit but cannot remember positions. Entry prices and sizes are not sent to the server.
Is this my exchange's liquidation price?
No. This is an isolated USDT linear perpetual estimate. Venue formulas, maintenance tiers, fees and collateral differ. The displayed price is the watch-strip perpetual price, not your venue's liquidation mark. Check the exchange's position screen.
How is daily funding estimated?
The current coin-wide average funding rate is normalized to eight hours. Daily funding is current price times coin quantity times that rate times three. Positive funding means longs pay and shorts receive; negative funding reverses this. Rates can change and venue rates differ.
