True range = max(high − low, |high − previous close|, |low − previous close|). The first candle supplies the previous close; ATR is seeded with the mean of the first 14 true ranges, then updated with Wilder smoothing: (13 × prior ATR + true range) / 14. Normalized ATR = 100 × ATR / last close.
Ranking requires 120 contiguous complete, closed candles ending at the expected UTC close. Gaps reset warmup; stale or missing history is unranked. Zero ATR is a valid flat market, while invalid or nonpositive close is unavailable. We read at most 250 candles for each of 50 markets.
One supported perpetual per coin, selected by prior completed 24h quote volume on Binance, Bybit or Hyperliquid. Source: stored exchange public-feed OHLCV candles. ATR uses each contract's quoted price units (for example USDT per BTC for BTCUSDT); the percentage allows comparison across prices and is not annualized.
