Where do the XRP stop-losses come from?
Hyperliquid is an on-chain exchange, so every account's open orders are public. This site reads the open orders of the ~100 largest tracked Hyperliquid wallets plus up to ~100 recently active traders (wallets with open positions that made a trade of at least $10,000 in the last hour) from Hyperliquid's public API and keeps only the trigger orders that close a position: stop-losses and take-profits. Their value is the order size times the trigger price.
How much does it cover?
Only those wallets, and only their trigger orders. Plain limit orders are on the order book depth page, and smaller wallets are not read at all, so real totals are larger. Big directional traders set most of the stops; market makers mostly don't.
How fresh is it?
The wallets are re-read one after another within Hyperliquid's API rate limit, so a full pass takes about 100 minutes. A wallet's orders are dropped when they were not re-read for 3 hours.
How is this different from a liquidation map?
A stop-loss is a price the trader chose; a liquidation price is where the exchange closes the position. The mark price triggers stop-losses, which can execute as market or limit orders; triggered limit orders may rest without filling. The Hyperliquid liquidation map shows the exact liquidation prices of tracked positions. Nothing here is financial advice.
