what the Gate archive holdsFirst stored hour: 8 Oct 2023 12:00–13:00 UTC. Last stored hour: 6 Oct 2026 11:00–12:00 UTC. Up to 119 contracts reporting in one hour. 1088 qualifying days; 7 partial days excluded (fewer than 24 hour buckets, including the day still running).
Gate only. Hourly long and short liquidation totals from Gate's contract statistics for its top USDT perpetuals, valued at Gate's mark price. Contracts outside that set and other exchanges are not included, so every figure is a lower bound for Gate alone, not market-wide.
How to read it. A long liquidation is a forced sell after the price fell; a short liquidation is a forced buy after it rose. For the days since this site's own feeds began, see Gate liquidation history and the largest recorded days across exchanges, which are kept separate from this archive. Not financial advice.
Gate liquidation archive FAQ
Why does the archive start in October 2023?
Gate's public contract statistics begin on 8 October 2023 for BTC_USDT, and this site stores their hourly rows for Gate's top USDT perpetuals from then on. This site's own liquidation feeds, which rank every tracked exchange on the records page, began almost three years later.
Why are some days not ranked?
A day qualifies only when all 24 of its UTC hour buckets are stored. Gate's archive lacks 2024-09-11 17:00 to 2024-09-12 00:00 UTC for every contract, and the latest day is still running, so those days are excluded and counted in the coverage block, never ranked as smaller days.
Are these Gate's largest liquidation days ever?
They are the largest days Gate recorded in its hourly contract statistics for the contracts stored here, valued at Gate's mark price. Contracts outside its top 100 by open interest and every other exchange are left out, so each figure is a lower bound for Gate alone.
