Coverage

which exchanges send liquidations, and how completely
  • Binance liquidations sampled: Binance publishes only the latest liquidation per symbol per 1000 milliseconds.
  • Bybit Every liquidation (allLiquidation stream).
  • Bitget Sampled liquidations (largest per coin and side each second).
  • Gate Every liquidation order on USDT perps (futures.public_liquidates, batched each second).
  • HTX Every liquidation on USDT swaps (public liquidation_orders stream).
  • Aster liquidations sampled, at most one per symbol per second. Added 2026-09-28.
  • Lighter Every liquidation on crypto perps (liquidation fills on the public trade stream).

A lower bound. Binance, Bitget and Aster publish sampled liquidations, so their totals and the combined totals are lower bounds during cascades. Binance publishes only the latest liquidation per symbol per 1000 milliseconds, so its totals are a lower bound in busy moments. Hyperliquid publishes no public liquidation stream. Not included: Hyperliquid, MEXC, KuCoin (no public all-market liquidation feed is collected). Sizes are quantity × fill price in US dollars. See data coverage.

Liquidations FAQ

How much JCT was liquidated in the last 24 hours?

The headline on the 24h page is the dollar value of futures positions that exchanges force-closed in the 24 hours up to the time stamp shown, from the exchanges' public liquidation feeds. It is recomputed at most every 30 seconds.

What is the difference between long and short liquidations?

A long liquidation closes a position that bet on a rise, after the price fell; a short liquidation closes a bet on a fall, after the price rose. Mostly longs means a sharp drop, mostly shorts a squeeze.

Is every liquidation counted?

No public source sees every liquidation. Binance and Bitget publish only a sample (Binance at most one liquidation per symbol per second), and Hyperliquid has no public liquidation stream, so these totals are a lower bound. See the coverage list on this page and the coverage page.

How do I cite this number?

Use the one-line citation on the page: it carries the UTC time stamp and a link to that day's permanent daily card, which keeps the number after this rolling page has moved on.
