The value now is the coins bought times the latest price, and the profit is that value over the total invested.
Are fees included?
No. Trading fees, spread, slippage, withdrawal costs and taxes are ignored, so a real plan ends with slightly fewer coins: at a 0.1% trading fee, about 0.1% fewer.
What is the lump-sum comparison?
The same total invested all at once at the close of the plan's first buy day. In a market that rose steadily a lump sum usually ends higher; after a fall, DCA's lower average buy price usually wins.
